A 33 year old Israeli was executed for crimes he didn't commit.  There was no evidence to convict him, the authorities washed their hands of him and he died a horrible death.  The crimes of many people went to the grave that day and were forgotten for ever.
Such wrongful injustices may cause you to say "There, but for the grace of God go I" , and you would be right.  It was His plan for that 33 year old Israeli to die instead of you!
Our conscience is stained by the thoughts, words and actions we have done in the past.  We all know our own history and maybe we suffer sleepless nights wishing we had said or done things differently.  God knows all about us too, and he punished Jesus his own son in our place as he died on the cross (at the age of 33). 
Jesus was found guilty of the sins of mankind and took our punishment on himself.   "Repent & Follow me" was the call of Jesus of Nazareth, and it means to turn in remorse from sin, to God and live His way, as is written in the Bible.  If you do this the power that rose Jesus back to life will be given to you.  He promises the Holy Spirit to his believers as a helper.  Through Jesus Christ you can have a meaningful relationship with God and one day be raised to eternal life, being forgiven and made faultless before his Father in heaven.  Why not meet with us this Sunday and consider further the wonderful Christian message.
