Dr. Helen Rosevere It was 5.00 a.m. at the airport in Atlanta, Georgia and a well known lady was waiting to catch an early morning flight. As was often the case on these tours she was not sure where she was going but simply used the next ticket in the pile given her by the organisers. This particular morning she found she had no ticket so asked at the reception desk for advice. "Where are you going?" asked the lady at the desk. "I don't know!" she replied. "Well do you know your name?" she was asked! "Yes, it's Rosevere." The lady checked the flight computer and said, "You are down to go to Virginia. Have you got a ticket?" "No." she replied. "What do I need to do to travel?" "Money to buy a ticket," came the reply. "Well I don't have any. What should I do?" "You need someone to act as guarantor for you." She stepped aside and let the lady deal with the rest of the queue and prayed. When the queue had been dealt with she asked the lady, "Do you have a telephone directory?" "Yes I do," she replied. "I want you to look up under 'A' and ring up the first reverend for me." the lady at the desk looked surprised but she insisted. It was obvious that at the other end someone had been awakened from sleep. The lady explained the situation as best she could and was asked, "Is it Dr. Helen Rosevere?" The lady turned to her and said, "Are you Dr. Helen Rosevere?" "I am," she replied. "Wait thee and I will be around in a short while," came the reply. In a few minutes a dishevelled man arrived who looked as though he had pulled a jersey over his pyjamas! He explained himself to the amazed lady behind the desk. "Several years ago I was travelling through Afghanistan with my girlfriend, high on drugs and became seriously ill. I was taken to the American embassy where I was nursed back to health. By my bed was a book called "Give Me This Mountain" by Dr. Helen Rosevere. I read it and was converted and my girlfriend too. On my return to the States I took up training for the ministry and here I am today!" Does all this sound like mere chance?
